Sacramento Youth Symphony Presents
1001 Nights
The Sacramento Youth Symphony Premier Orchestra presents 1001 Nights. The 75-piece orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Ryan Murray, will perform Rimsky-Korsakov’s symphonic poem Scheherazade, based on the famous folktales Arabian Nights, and the West Coast Premiere of Six or Seven Dances by American composer Libby Larsen. The program will open with the first movement of Shostakovich’s 1st cello concerto, featuring one of our concert competition winners, Caleb Zhang.
