PARTNERS OF THREE STAGES
Carrera Productions presents
Cajun Night at Three Stages
BeauSoleil Quartet avec* Michael Doucet AND Tom Rigney & Flambeau
The BeauSoleil Quartet – two-time Grammy winners (eleven nominations) with numerous other music accolades – is the very essence of Cajun music. BeauSoleil appears regularly on Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion radio show. Keillor has hailed the group as the "best Cajun band in the world." BeauSoleil's musicians "take the rich Cajun traditions of Louisiana and artfully blend elements of zydeco, New Orleans jazz, Tex-Mex, country, blues, and more into a satisfying musical recipe."
And Tom Rigney, the fiery, electrifying violinist/composer, joins forces with some of the finest musicians on the San Francisco roots music scene to form Tom Rigney & Flambeau. Now entering his second decade at the helm of Flambeau, has in recent years become one of the premier blues and roots music violinists in the world. Hailed as one of the Bay Area’s most formidable bands – with a roots-powered sound which freely mingles Cajun influences with New Orleans R&B, jazz, traditional Irish music, and rock.
