The registration fee for each week is $125.00*. All art materials are included in the price. Registration is non-refundable. Cancellations after payment will not be refunded for any reason.
*The registration fee of $125 is subject to change, please check back on Friday, April 28 to confirm the final fees.
Online registration will begin on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 12:00 pm. There is a maximum of 4 registrations per family per week on a first come first served basis. Registration for the FLC YAA is only online and the camps sell out very quickly. Keep in mind the camp may show as sold out as other buyers place registrations in their shopping carts. If after 20 minutes the registrant has not completed the transaction, the space is opened for another person to register. It is a good idea to try several times throughout the first few hours after registrations go on sale. In event that all available spots are filled a wait list will be posted on this webpage as soon as possible. It is important to submit your child's age and name when registering so that your child is placed in the correct age group and the name tags are correct, as well as a contact email since all communication is done via email. For all registration inquiries please call 916-608-6888.
The mission of FLC YAA is to inspire art appreciation and excellence among children ages 8-14 and increase community awareness of and participation in visual art experiences of the youth of Folsom Lake College's service area (Rancho Cordova, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, Shingle Springs, Placerville and surrounding communities). The Folsom Lake College Youth Arts Academy is made possible thanks to the generous donation of The Robert S. and Star Pepper Foundation.
Participants in the Arts Academy Summer Program will enjoy classes with master teachers who are also working artists. Classes in drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, and printmaking will be enhanced with visits to the Harris Center Bank of America Gallery and a final "gallery" exhibition for parents and family on the final day of each week. New to the curricula this year will be a session on STEAM where students can use design thinking and makerspace tools and techniques to solve problems that blend science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
