The Big Day of Giving is Thurs., May 6
April 30, 2021

FOLSOM, CA - The Harris Center for the Arts is celebrating the Big Day of Giving on Thursday, May 6, 2021!
The Big Day of Giving is a 24-hour online giving challenge that brings together the region's nonprofit community to help raise much-needed funds and shine a spotlight on the work nonprofits do to make the Sacramento region the place we call home.
We invite you to make a gift to the Harris Center on Thursday, May 6 to celebrate where we have been, where we are now, and where we are going. This past year has been extraordinarily challenging for the Harris Center, our community, and our partners. Through it all, we have remained committed to reopening when it is safe to do so. Now, as that time nears, we need your help.
Even in normal times, philanthropic support is critical to arts organizations to help close the gap as ticket sales alone do not support operations. That need is even greater now as we plan for our soft reopening later this year. During the Big Day of Giving, we invite you to make a gift to help us bring back engaging arts programming, education, and access to the arts in our region. Every gift given during Big Day of Giving will be restricted to our reopening fund.
Ways to Give
- Make a one-time donation on the Harris Center website by using a credit card at https://www.harriscenter.net/donate.
- Consider becoming a monthly donor. Your monthly contribution will be ongoing until you let us know that you would like to change or cancel your donation. These donations can be made on the Harris Center donation webpage by selecting "Make this a monthly gift."
- Donation checks can be mailed to the Harris Center for the Arts, Attn: Philanthropy at 10 College Parkway, Folsom, CA 95630. Please make checks payable to the Los Rios Colleges Foundation.
Thank you for supporting the arts in our community! We look forward to seeing you this fall when we turn on the lights and raise the curtains once again.

Although the Harris Center’s stage will temporarily dim effective July 1, 2020, the community spirit created over the last 10 years will continue. Art sustains us during the good times and the not-so-good, and we sincerely hope that your memories of Harris Center performances remain and remind you that there is a light at the end of this tunnel.
