Opera Meets Broadway

Opera and Broadway are known for their "big voices" so why not combine the two into a single concert?  A dynamic pair of vocalists team up to deliver treats from both genres with selections ranging from The Barber of Seville and Carmen to West Side Story and Phantom of the Opera. 

Shana Blake Hill, soprano, has performed principal roles with the Los Angeles Opera and Cincinnati Opera, among others. She has been a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and the Seattle Symphony, to name a few. Critics such as Opera News and The Philadelphia Enquirer have described her as a “fearless actress,” “floods of glorious sound,” and as “visually and vocally voluptuous.”

Roberto Perlas Gomez, baritone, has performed his extensive repertoire of over one hundred roles with many of the international and regional opera companies throughout the United States. He has performed with the Los Angeles Opera, the San Francisco Opera, the Shanghai Opera, and at the Kennedy Center.
