The Folsom Lake Symphony has been the premier orchestra of the Folsom Lake region since its impressive inaugural performance in 2004. Today, it’s honored to be the resident orchestra at the Harris Center for the Arts. The Symphony’s mission includes two important goals: present high-quality symphonic performances for our audiences and educate young people to enjoy and appreciate classical music. Maestro Peter Jaffe continues to lead exciting symphonic performances while bringing new musical experiences to our patrons.
Dynamic music director and conductor of the Folsom Lake Symphony since 2014, Peter Jaffe has also directed the Stockton Symphony since 1995 and the Auburn Symphony since 2012. Known for his top-notch musicianship, he has won accolades for his educational programs and for fostering artistic growth. Organizations ranging from the Association of California Symphony Orchestras to the Brubeck Institute and Goodwill Industries have honored him for his cultural contributions. He is renowned for his imaginative programming, combining masterworks and world premieres, and has served as guest conductor across the U.S., resident conductor at the Aspen Music Festival, and educator at the Conductor’s Institute of South Carolina.
