“Ahead of their Time” is an inspirational story about Adelaide Ristori, 19th century actress and entrepreneur, as told by Italian actress Giulia Cailotto, intertwined with the music of 19th century pianist and composer Clara Schumann. The stories of Adelaide Ristori and Clara Schumann were a true inspiration for women of their time and continues to be an inspiration for women of all ages today. Ristori’s entrepreneurial spirit and tenacity are a testament to what anyone can achieve when given the opportunity, and Clara Schumann's music adds an extra layer of beauty and depth to the program, making it a truly unique and enriching experience.

Rising Stars of Chamber Music

The “Rising Stars of Chamber Music” program was developed by Susan Lamb Cook to train young, pre-college musicians in the art of chamber music performance.  These extraordinary young musicians bring enthusiasm and energy to the stage for dynamic performances of classics from the chamber music repertoire.

TriMusica, with clarinetist Sandra Moats McPherson, cellist Susan Lamb Cook, and pianist John Cozza, will be joined by soprano Carrie Hennessey and others to present a program filled with great works from the chamber music repertoire to create an unforgettable and captivating musical experience.

“Voices of Distinction” - Music from the former Soviet Union

Sunday, April 13, 2025, 2:00 p.m.

“Voices of Distinction” will capture the essence of a bygone era through works by composers from the former Soviet Union, including Arno Babadjanian, Arvo Pärt, and Dmitri Shostakovich as performed by violinist Igor Veligan, cellist Susan Lamb Cook, pianist Natsuki Fukasawa and guests.
